Bass fishing in lake simcoe

Featured Replies

Hey guys I need a lot of help as I am going to quit fishing if I don't catch at least one bass over 2lbs by winter, anyways what would be the best way to shore fish in lake simcoe/kempenfelt bay as this is officially the only body of water that is fishable from a shore angler in Barrie any help is appreciated.

@Scarborough817 I tried fishing there a few times I haven't seen any bass in there and I stopped fishing there because it was just too weedy, shallow and seems quite dead

what about the weed to rock transition there just to the left, on the other side of the boat ramp the depth changes pretty rapidly is it still super weedy?

@Scarborough817Actually I don’t think there are Any weeds on the other side of the boat launch that’s where I’ve had many of my good crankbaits stuck and lost on rocks only ever seen small perch being caught there

if its where the perch are then the bass should be there too, do you have any underspins or swim jigs?

You gotta remember lake Simcoe is pretty pressured so try throwing some unorthodox lures stuff most people aren't throwing if all else fails ultra realistic lures such as livetargets could help out
