recessed foot pedal for jonboat?

Featured Replies

  • Super User

I'll be having some work done on my G3 1548 jon in the not too distant future and recently I was made aware that a recessed foot pedal for my bow mount trolling motor is an option.

Anyone have any input on this?  Worth it?  Not worth it?  More comfortable?

Thanks

Chris

Chris,

I have never used one so I can't comment on how they are.  I do like to reposition my pedal sometimes for the sake of comfort or convenience so I am not considering one for my boat.  They seem to be pretty popular so those who have them must like them.  Good luck w whatever you choose.

I think it would definatley be more comfortable on the back. I know I am sore as get out sometimes from the "Leaning".

Check out this thread.

A recess was installed.

I want to have this done, but my dealer tells me it will get into the front supports of my Triton 1650SC. ;)

Good Luck with yours!

Dave

I put one in a year ago and wished I'd done it sooner.  No more back pain here.
