Sears Gamefisher Boat Question

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Found a Sears Gamefisher boat on Craigslist today.  Planning on looking at it tomorrow.  It is a 14 ft boat, tri-hull, white in color, and in good shape. The trailer is supposed to be in good shape as well.  My main question is this:  Did the factory put flotation material in the benches or in the hull of these boats?  It appears to have sealed benches etc...  I really like the idea of having flotation material.  The guy wants $300.00 for the boat and trailer.

Thank you,

Lonnie

Without knowing the approximate year model it would be hard to say with any certainty. Gamefisher has been around for years prior to requiring & after requiring level floatation.

Even if they didn't, I wouldn't think filling those benches with foam would be a huge project if the boat and trailer are in good shape.

Hi Volfan,

I was wondering about that.  Do you have any ideas for filling the benches with flotation material?

Pick your poison on the foams. Good Stuff is one brand but I believe there are some specifically made to be waterproof.  You're looking for displacement in this case, and something that won't react with the aluminum.
