Vey slow Sunday here

Featured Replies

Sunday we couldn't get on fish on any profile we tried.  Central Alabama, East wind at 5, clear blue skies, water temp 70 degrees, full moon the night before, dense fog in the AM.  The weather felt more like June than November.  They have now dropped the lake level 5' to winter pool.  We threw everything in the boat and couldn't get a bite.  You could see baitfish on the electronics at 25-30' but no bass.  Even talked to some guys crappie fishing that were having a decent day.  Anyone else have a slow day Sunday?

We fished Pickwick on the lake and below the dam. We wacked 'em!  Largemouth on the lake early with

a Senko and Red Eye Shad. Later on the river it was all smallies: Rage Tail Menace, Rage Swimmer, BPS

Tender Tube #71 and live bait. Surprisingly artificials were the best producers. Best largemouth was caught

on the Red Eye Shad and my partner caught a 6 1/2 smallmouth on a Menace. My best was 4 1/2 on a Rage

Swimmer.

Not one bite here in SC late Sunday afternoon. This time of year the bass are active in the "go to" spots in our lagoons between noon and 2 pm and after that the head somewhere else. Unfortunately for us, the bulk of that lagoon is bordered by homes on the water (grass yards go right to the edge of the water) and we don't fish on private property unless invited.
