in a PICKLE

Featured Replies

I currently have 125$ in cash saved up. I do have more, but I don't want to go broke. I also have a little bit of room in my xmas list. I will also likely receive some other money from relatives. I am in need of tackle about $300 worth without a discount, a new Spinning combo worth over $400 new (I'm not going to spend that much), and lastly two new casting reels.

Current Plan:

buy two Refurbished 7.2:1 Shimano Casitas's for less than $62.50 each

ask for tackle and money for xmas

I was all ready to go through with the plan, but then i found a barely used Chronarch Ci4+ casting reel for $150.

Do I buy two casitas's or one ci4+?

If you know of any other mega deals on casting reels, about 50% ish off (open to anything though), LET ME KNOW!

Thanks.

Save more cash.

Save 60-80 bucks more and get two brand new Daiwa Tatula CTs if you need two reels.

I have 3 Chronarch CI4+ reels and they’re great reels. But for 150 I’d be more inclined to buy a brand new Tatula SV over a used Chronarch CI4+.

I would go with the 2 reels if you feel you need two.  But if you are willing to go with refurbished Casitas, why do you need a $400 spinning combo?  You can get a great combo for no more than $200 if you buy used here or on another forum, or even ebay, and have money for a second Chronarch.

An excellent option right there....
