I registered to be a marshal in an elite series tournament. Do they give you instant confirmation or is everyone automatically put on a wait list when registering?

It's provided the day before take off.

I did this last year. The advantage of signing up early is that you have a better chance of getting a 3rd day. The 4th day is based on how much you blog.

How does it work with the top guys when they have a camera crew with them? When they're recording you rarely if ever see the Marshal, I'm guessing that's by design. Or does the ESPN camera guy act as the Marshal?

I believe the camera guy is the Marshal. Just need someone out with them to ensure the integrity of the sport fishing for $100,000.
