Featured Replies

i was just wonderin what some of ur favorite boat motors are???? mine is gonna have to be the new EVINRUDE E-TEC'S 8-)... if it ant an EVINRUDE i ant buyin it LOL......

OMC (outboard marine company - Johnson and Evinrude pre 2000)

ABSOLUTE BEST MOTORS!!

optimax     (dont tell noone but im biased on this) ;)

I like my OPTIMAX but my Merc tech says the E-tech is the best on the market at this time.

I have only owned two motors, a 25hp Nissan and a 25hp four stroke Yamaha. The Nissan was ok the first year and a half then the next two years it was in the shop more than in the water. I love the Yamaha, very reliable so far and quiet. It is only a year old but and seeing as I am planning on getting another boat I can not talk about it's longevity. If I cannot get another boat wiht Yamaha power then I am getting a Suzuki.

WOW!!!!! nice to see there is more EVINRUDE supporters on here than mercury  ;) (THINK GOD)....Where i am from if it isnt a mercury then its GARBAGE but hate to tell them i have yet to see me get out ran by a 225 mercury or any mercury besides a 300 ;D.... BEST MOTORS ON THE WATER EVINRUDE 225 E-TEC on a BASS CAT PANTERA CLASSIC......

I have a 40 hp Yamaha that I bought in the spring of '05,and it is a great motor.I've had no problems with it,and it will haul a$$ on my little 15 ft glass Terry.I've owned a Johnson and an Evinrude, and they were excellent motors.I like this one better. If I ever get a big rig,I'll go with the E-Tec.I've heard lots of good things about them.

Minn Kota :)

Well said. 24 lbs of thrust baby!!!! And if that conks out I have a back up paddle (made of real wood none the less!)   ;)
