Okay guys and gals my question is has anyone tried the new mhx elite-x rod blanks. Looking to built a few for rods the new season. Built my last two on the high module blank wondering how these blanks are compared to the new elite-x blanks? Any thought would be great or if you have built on this blank or fished it thank you guys

Those blanks are too new to the market for there to be any real performance data.

 

I will say I have built rods on the original series, gen2, and elite pro blanks. They have all been decent rods for the cost.

 

There are better options. For my money, Rainshadow Immortal blanks are better than gen2 high mod MHX blanks.

Mudhole doesn’t even have these rod blanks yet.  I actually called them to day to ask a few question and the gentleman told me June.  Unless they let a couple builders have prototypes.  I’ve built on there old elite pros and really liked them.  Would like to try there new elite pros out.

I believe the blanks use nano technology, right? If so, they should be less prone to damage than the old blanks.
