removing transducers

my 2 month old hummingbird pooped out on me yesterday and i was wondering how some of you have removed glued transducers. Bass Pro "wants it all back"..................

If you know the transducer is good they just give them the new out of the box from your replacement.

I take them out with a metal bar.  I put it next to the transducer and give it a pop.  When you go to install a new one you will have to grind out all of the old glue.

yesterday i dropped by bass pro on the way home with the boat. after asking a manager if they could remove the transducer and not damage the boat they gave me a new unit without power cord and transducer.

the funny thing is i think i had my best high heat fishing day so far this year without the aid of the graph.

all is well that ends ok so is said.
