Curado 200G AND Core 100mg

Featured Replies

Stopped off at a tackle shop on lunch and found both brand new curado 200G for $175 canadian ($135 USD) and core 100mg for $385 canadian ($295 USD). I'm curious to see if that's a good price for either of them and if lots worth picking one up.

I bought a pair of curado g series reels for $90 us and thought they were good reels for the price I paid. Mine have held up great for a few years now. I do feel that the citica I series is a marked improvement over the g series curado and can be had for a similar price online. Even if I had to spend a couple of extra dollars, I'd rather opt for one of those.

For that reason, Id probably pass on the g series.

Pass on the G.  You can get them around 100 CDN, used.  The Core, if you can get it at 200 that would be sweet.  My limit would be 250 CDN though.

I'm surprised you found these reels new.  They've both been discontinued for some time.  You really can't compare them to each other. They're two different tiers of quality. At 135 USD there are many better current choices.  Curado K can be had under 150.00 on E-Bay.

Ya the shop doesn't seem to advertise much so they don't seem to move product much. I want an old reel just for fun and having a brand new reel still in the box would be nice
