Bps or cabelas house reel

Featured Replies

Which would you buy the pq2 or the arachnid for pitching trigs and jigs up to 3/4 oz? All in out is welcome thanks!

My vote goes to the pro qualifier. Quality reel

The Arachnid is a rebranded Daiwa Tatula Type R.

Arachnid by a good margin.

I am a Diawa fan.

You just missed the sale for the PQ2.  I have the original PQ and love that reel.  Was walking around BP during the fishing sale and was going to pick another up for $79, then the guy told me the combos were on sale for $99.  Couldn't pass up the deal.

As long as Cabela's are Daiwas, they will be my vote.

As people have said if you like and have confidence in Daiwa gear, get the Cabela's.

Diawa or doyo? Which do you like better?

I have a couple of pro q's and lews lfs and aside from their breaking systems and color. They are undistiguishable to me. Their frames literally have the same indentations in the same places.

I would always favor a Diawa myself.

AllI know is stay away from PQ spinning reels they are junk! The PQ baitcaster is ok!  Like the others have said  about Cabela’s reels.

Considering that the Arachnid is 50% more expensive than the PQ2, you can't really compare them. But I have two PQs and they're fine reels.

Pro Qualifier fan here.

My Pro Qualifiers lasted me 5-7 years of use before I upgraded. And they were still going strong when I traded them in.

The new bps reels are impressive. Same as a lew's/doyo oem.
