Scotty transducer arm vs RAM transducer arm...

Featured Replies

As the title asks, which one do you all prefer. Who has experience with which model, pro's and cons...This is going on my Predator PDL, I found out this past weekend that the way i had tried to affix my transducer to the transom did not work at all.  I have also contacted Garmin to see if the sell/will send me the older style metal bracket that will fit the pre-drilled holes on the transom.  At least this way I will have options at my disposal.

I use the YackAttack arm which uses a RAM pod.  I like it.

I use the Scotty - chose it because it was cheaper. I am guessing it's way more flimsy than the YakAttack arm but I actually prefer that - much better the arm break that the transducer. It stays in place well, comes on and off quick, and rotates up easily when in shallow water.

The yackattack is aluminum.  It's not breaking.
