Slider fishing

Featured Replies

I was chatting with a guy at the ramp a couple nights ago and was told that Slider fishing was the best way to fish that particular lake.  Lightweight heads for a slow fall.

Other than buying directly from Brewer, is there a better source?  BPS has them, but they're higher than Brewer.

Is there anyone else out there who makes a slider (or jobee) style head in weights as light as 1/32 oz.?  The fish in this particular lake get a ton of pressure and tend to be quite hard to entice.  I'm willing to try anything in order to catch more than a couple of fish a day or night.

His website is the best way to get them. I would also suggest getting the book. It is a great way to catch some high pressured fish.

True "slider fishing" is more about the technique that Charlie Brewer wrote about than the exact tackle or baits that the Brewer Company sells. Any fishing department in any sporting goods store will have tackle and bait suitable to fish "slider style". Considerable discussion on this topic is archived at Bronzeback.com and NYBass.com.

Get them direct.  They are a "on the ball" company and ship fast.

Man, if only other tackle companies shipped as fast!  On my doorstep in two days for $5.50.

Plus they threw in a few samples.  If they catch fish, they've got a customer for life.

I have bought quite a bit of stuff from them and has always been a prompt shipper. The quality of hooks and worms/grubs is pretty good, good combo of stretchy and soft but durable.
