Biospawn Plasma tail

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone here tried the biospawn plasma tail 6.5 or 4.5? If so, did you have success with it? What are your favourite colors and ways of rigging it? Thanks!

@Skspacemonkey: I’m a big fan of Biospawn soft plastics. I find the 6.5 - inch PlasmaTail to in green pumpkin/plasma or black/blue to be effective here in our small, weedy lakes. From my experience, the tails on these guys do tend to float up a little which I like. (Gotta admit that bluegill and rock bass do like that plasma tail though.)  But, to be honest, I really have much better luck with the Exostick.  It’s my go-to small worm and I can cut off segments for finesse presentations.  I can also rig it backwards for a little different action.  Not sure if this helps, but I feel they are worth a shot.

I use the 4.5 Plasmatail in Oxblood color for dropshots. I find them very effective.

They are durable as well. The tails can withstand annoying panfish nipping at them.

Plasma tail is one of my go to worms.  I use the 4.5 for drop shot and small shaky heads in streams and creeks for small mouth.  Larger version is incredible on a shaky head as well as t-rigged.  I have uysed them as chatterbait/spinnerbait trailers before as well with good results.

I've had luck with the 6.5" Plasma Tail on a shaky head. I like the Junebug/Plasma color. I still have a pile of their baits I bought during one of their sales last year.
