The river is dirty, in spite of low flow for this time of year. Nothing seems to be working- backwater flipping, cranking jetties, spinner/chatterbait stumps/wood in slackwater. Its like they have just disappeared! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Main river temp 59 deg - bk water 60-62. Clarity 10"s main river- 12-16 bk water

last time i went(4-5 days ago) they were on the bed in the back water 2-4'. caught them on texas rigged beaver (green pumpkin/blue swirl). not clear enough to see the beds, but was casting to known spawning flat from prior years, isolated stumps away from the bank. caught a few also on gravel bottom in 8' in a back water feeder stream also on the t-rig, these were smaller fish. when they get locked on the bed in this dingy water it can get tough.

It's supposed to rain 5" here over next couple of days, so it will change.

 

all this rain is going to flip the arkansas. i have had good days on low flow and very bad days after the rains. t rigs work very well. beavers and senkos. color to water.
