Diawa zillion rods?

Featured Replies

I’m looking Daiwa zillion 7’2” medium-heavy crankbait rod used in excellent condition for a wicked price. Never heard anything about the zillion rods?

I have a 7 ft medium I use for light t-rigs. I really like it. Feels great and really sensitive. Daiwa just recently discontinued them.

They are awesome! Buy it.

Going to take a look at it today. See how it feels, it’s just an awesome price for a high valued rod. Just wish I heard more about them

Picked it up this morning and it’s an excellent looking rod, fantastic feeling rod but it feels way more like a fast then moderate fast or moderate. It hits the back bone of the rod real quick. He brought a heavy fast and 2 medium heavy fast and then the medium heavy regular which is there cranking rod and it feels the same as the other two, more like a fast. The price was way too good to pass up so I picked it up but I’m not sure if it’s what I’m looking for. I figured at least I could turn a profit and try something else as like I mentioned it was an awesome price.

Is Daiwa really discontinuing the Zillion rod line?? Guess that means i'm going to have to keep my eye open for clearance. They are sweet rods.

It makes sense now that they have the regular tatula which is basically a dressed down Zillion, AND the new Tatula Elites. A lot of the Daiwa pro's were using zillions and steez rods and now they are using the tatula elites.

I have a 7'7" Daiwa Zillion medium crankbaits rod and I love it as my swimbait rod. Just keep reeling until the rod loads up.

Yeah apparently they are discontinued! It looks awesome, feels awesome, and really want to give this rod a shot but like I said it’s suppose to be there 7’2” crankbait rod regular(moderate action) but it feels like a fast action. It seems like it might be too quick for a crankbait rod. I’m looking for shallow diving, mid at best and square bill and lipless. I’m just worried it won’t be what I’m looking for. Thinking I’ll sell it and try something else.

Why use it for swimbaits and not crank baits?

I use it for crankbaits too but I really like it for Keitech type swimbaits. I watch a lot of Scott Martin videos and he's using a 7'11" crankbait rod for his Keitech rod too. Hope this helps.
