Have a 2008 Tracker 175, have been told the factory installed transducer location is incorrect, they now mount them under the offset.  Anyhow, looking at Hook2 or Gen3 (that's another question).  Can I mount the 12" totalscan transducer at the same "incorrect" location or do I have to mount it under the offset to function properly?   I only have a 20hp, so it never gets on plane, top speed is about 17mph.    Thanks

I replaced my factory installed transducer with a TotalScan on my 2016 175 in the exact location of the original, and it works great.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the reason they mount it under the offset is so you can get readings on plane.
