Location/timing/presentation far outweigh color selection....

Especially with a fast moving presentation like a trap.

Could y’all give me some tips on conditions? I’m fishing a super clear little lake. It’s shallow-ish around the bank but then gets really deep. It used to be a sand pit.

Also... I got a shad pattern but I got it in 3/4oz magnum (didn’t know it was different). It’s pretty massive compared to a 1/2 oz. Is this something that will catch bass or should I exchange it for the 1/2 version? Or maybe even a smaller/or different one.
