PSA re Daiwa Fuego

Featured Replies

I just received my Daiwa Fuego from Cabela's and noticed a burr in the line guide bushing. I thought it was loose debris, but a toothpick gets hung up on it. It's hard to see in the photo but it's at the 2 o'clock position. Glad I noticed it before anything evil happened. Now I need to find my needle files.

I own multiple Daiwa Fuego's, all of them have been perfect.

Aye. Anyone can pump out a bad reel or a bad part, no doubt they will make it right! My fuego has been perfect.

I managed to remove the burr with a bamboo skewer, and then ran a trimmed q tip through the guide with no hang ups, followed that with some 4# line run back and forth and all is good. No files were used. I'm just glad I saw the burr before I spooled up new line.
