Need three rods for casting setups

Featured Replies

Hopefully this will be my last post on this. I'd like suggestions on 50-75$ rods. I wanna keep them cheaper for now.

Also on line suggestions too

I want to use one for frogs

I wabt to use one for top water, buzz baits, cranks, spinners, and jigs.

So hopefully I can separate those lures into three rods.

Possibly the suggestion on the Aird-x or the shocks still stand for some of the applications. But I'm opened.

I know the experience of you guys will help me to get something that works well.

And with three feels now, it may help making Ros decisions easier.

Aird X seem hard to beat for the price. I'd get a M, MH and H. That will cover everything you want to do.

I heard the M was whippy.

You could do worse than a HF Shock and 2 MF AG Veritas ($90 for both from FFO) and even stay below your $50/per

Hm.. is that medium okay for all the uses besides the frog?  And the reconditioned part is a little harry to me... Like what exactly do they do to recondition them. To me if they need reconditioning they're broke

The medium is great for topwater crankbaits and spinnerbaits. medium action casting rods are way underrated in my opinion. I use them just as much as my medium heavys

True. But supposedly the users of the AirdX rods say it's unusually whippy for a M powered rod

If that's the case it would probably make a good treble hook rod.

You ask for opinions.

You get opinions .

Then you say you respect others opens more.

Since there is no universal rules on flex, both can be right.

I have an impulse top water that many say is a noodle, and I say it is perfect for my purpose.

........on a side note, expanding your budget slightly will greatly improve your option, but I am sure you realize this already

I have a 6’6” MH Aird rod and in my opinion it fishes more like a medium action rod. YMMV
