Does anyone have any experience with these reels?DAIWA FUEGO LT, DAIWA BG, or PFLUEGER SUPREME I'm buying a new Spinning Reel in the next week or two and I've narrowed it down to these 3.

please don't offer up any others as I've made up my mind as to these 3.

thanks

Didn't you already have a thread on this reel this week?

EDIT: NM, that was the CT :lol1:

I've got a BG 2500 and a President. I really like the BG, solid as hell reel. A lot of guys here love the President, I'm kinda meh on it. It just sits on a loaner rod. It's fine, but I like Daiwa & Shimano much better.

Have been using a Fuego 3000 LT for my heavier spinning recently and I absolutely love it.  It feels as smooth as my Stradic CI4+'s.  What I really like is the 5.8:1 ratio with the larger spool.  Lots of torque plus good IPT.

Is the 3000 about the same size as say, a Pflueger President? That's what I have now and like the size.

Don't know Pfluegar comparisons but mine is the same spool diameter as my Shimano 2500's and 3000. Perfect bass size.

Just purchased the BG 3000 on EBay for 86.00?

Fuego 3000 LT would appear comparable to a 35 size pflueger but considerably lighter.

BG imo.

I will take the aluminium body over basic plastic, carbon drag over felt, and a bearing in the line roller.

If all you are concerned about is weight though then the Fuego is a good choice.

Having fished both brands I don't put Daiwa and Pfluger in the same category. The President is the only one I would recommend and that's if someone wants to stay around 50 bucks, at 100 Daiwa is just better.

BTW that 3000 BG is a pretty good sized reel, it's on par with a 4000 Shimano.

I ordered the BG 3000. Looking forward to using it.
