Portable Fish finders

Featured Replies

Anyone know how good portable fish finders work? I fish the bank a lot and have a plastic pelican boat so I wanted to be able to use them at both places. Does anyone know where I could find a good one and cheap(under $100). Thanks!

Eagle Cuda 128 portable. It operates with 6-8 DD batteries ( don 't know if you can plug it to a battery ) the transducer is mounted to the boat via a suction cup.

You can make any fish finder portable. Buy a 12 volt battery for saffty lights or the battery for uderwater camera if theres a BPS/Gander in your area about $25 and buy a 12 volt power Piont to charge your battery.

For your xduser get a piece of 1x3 mount your xduser and a c clamp.

Bottom Line Fishing Buddy.  I've got a Bass Assasin plastic boat and the Fishing Buddy works great.  C Clamp on the front of the boat and 4 D Cell batteries.  It also has a side view option which is an added bonus.

I fish from shore and from a boat and needed something that could be used both places.  I ended up getting the Humminbird PiranhaMax with both the suction cup transducer and the smart cast sonar.

I love to be able to fish from shore and cast out the sonar and check all the spots around me for structure and for fish.  The unit works equally well in the boat too.

Check these out, they really are great units.
