Okeechobee Guides

Featured Replies

Hey guys, what would be your suggestions be for the best guide service on Lake Okeechobee? If this question has been answered I apologize. I’m planning a trip in October. Any help is greatly appreciated!

What do you mean by “best”? How do you want to fish?

I’ve been out on Okeechobee only twice, but most of the guides I saw out on the water had their clients drifting shiners under bobbers. That’s definitely NOT for me.

The guide I used had us throwing soft plastics on 4/0 EWG hooks; toads and flukes. Our lunker was only seven pounds, one ounce, but I’d rather throw artificial lures all day than chuck bait.

I'll be out there tomorrow. Holla at a brotha if you see the gold/burgundy Procraft.

Hit every isolated reed stand you can if coming in from 7 mile.

Sooooo???

17 total between 2 people. 12 of those coming on hollow body frogs early on. The rest flipping plastics. Biggest was only 3.5lb. Not too bad but not quite what I'm after. Going to try offshore on a local lake this weekend.
