What crankbait rod?

Featured Replies

Ok, so I’m looking to get a cranking stick today and I have a few options. All of the following are 7 foot Med/Mod rods.

Lew’s David Fritts Perfect Crankbait Speed Stick

Falcon BuCoo SR

Bass Pro Johnny Morris CarbonLite 2.0

St. Croix Premier Series Crankbait Rod

What baits do you plan to throw?

Probably the deepest I’ll be going is 10-15 feet, if that. Mostly KVD 1.5, 2.5, and some lipless crankbaits staying shallow.

Bass Pro is having a clearance sale starting Friday morning. The worker showed me some things and if you’re wanting something, probably look into getting it then...

I went with a St. Croix Mojo Bass rod. 7’ Med/Mod. I really like it so far, I’ve caught about half a dozen with it since I picked it up and it’s handled them just fine.

Lew’s reels were on sale so I got one of their LFS 5.2:1 reels for $75 best I remember. Using 12 pound Sunline fluoro.

Falcon Bucoo SR Trapcaster.  My next rod purchase.   Keep waiting to find one on sale but that doesn't seem to happen

Mine is on the cheaper side. Fenwick Lunkerstik 7'3" Med/mod and I like it so far !
