Theoretically you could follow I-20 and go south through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama and fish Lay Lake, Smith, Guntersville and hit I-59 for Chickamauga in Tennessee.

Y’all are gonna think I’m crazy, which I might be, but I enjoy using Swim Senkos and have had success with them. I’ll put it on a jig head and swim it. When I met Gary Yamamoto he suggested to use it pitching and flipping.

I’m needing a dummy’s guide to boat care. What do do I do with carpet, how do I wash it? How do I patch holes from previous owners putting mounts everywhere? How long do I keep it plugged in before and after fishing trips? Can I fill in holes in the fiberglass where stuff was mounted? How do I get the hull to shine instead of just the glitter to sparkle after I wipe the dust off of it? What do I need to do to get the engine to shift smooth and run without smoking me out? Basically, how do I get and keep a 32 year old fiberglass Laser boat in good working order?

I’ll ask it here instead of starting another buzz bait thread. What color buzz buzz bait do you use when it is around sunset to dusk? I’m using white and black Booyah buzzbaits. This last week I tried a black frog and a white buzz bait and neither produced, not even a boil or had one flash.

I have rosacea so I have to be covered up or slather down in sunblock in the sun. I usually have on a pair of light Under Armour workout pants, UA undershirt, hooded fishing shirt, gloves, sunglasses, and either a buff or special expensive sunblock. I’m a fish ninja.

Do you read reports leading up to your trip, try to find navionics charts, or look and see what lures/techniques were used by tournament winners? Or do you hire a guide, show up, and fish?

They fight above their weight class. I’ve had a 2.5lb spot double up a rod quick, fast, and in a hurry. Yea, I knew there was another one in northwest Alabama I was forgetting.
