It would be if I was any good at fishing. I’ve not caught anything on it yet, I have a black and blue jig with a Yamamoto trailer tied on it right now for tomorrow.

Trick Worm Tips for Bass Fishing Never Revealed - Until Now!
I may have bought a 20 pack of white truck worms today...

How much would you spend on a rod and/or reel?
I’ll spend somewhere around $100-$120 for a rod and the same for a reel. I did have a Falcon rod and Shimano reel and an Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 and Orra reel get stolen last year so I bought a few cheap combos to get by with. I’m thinking about slowly upgrading my current lineup since most of them are $50-70 Bass Pro/Cabela’s combos except for a Mojo bass rod and Lew’s reel.

Central/Northeast Alabama
Hey guys, I’m looking for a fishing buddy that can fish around Logan Martin, Lake Purdy, or even Guntersville a little bit this summer while I’m taking it easy being out of school.

Sun Protection
I have rosacea, so I have no choice but to go overboard on sun blocking and skin care. I have to use a special sunscreen on my face, it contains titanium and zinc ground into a super fine powder. So I’m the guy y’all see with a buff, hooded Huk shirt, gloves, hat, sunglasses, and long pants. Great choice of career and hobbies being out in the sun all day every day.

Senko Color
I’m glad y’all don’t happen to like the green pumpkin/green watermelon laminate (912) as much as I do! It flat out catches ‘em for me.

To trim or not to trim ... and trailers
What’s the best retrieval method to use? I think I was hopping it too much last time out. Do you keep your rod tip up at 1-2 o’clock or down around 4 o’clock and drag it?

Why do you fish for bass?
I grew up with dad taking us to a small county lake. I remember him showing me a clinch knot, fishing with crickets/earthworms, and small rooster tails. I remember when I was about 4 or so I let down a worm straight down off the walkway of the pier and all of a sudden that bobber disappears. The drag starts screaming on my little Zebco 33 and the rod tip about touches my hands. I ended up having a 5.5lb largemouth that dad had to grab the line and help me pull up out of the lake.

To trim or not to trim ... and trailers
Ok, so I’m not going to throw anything else except a jig for my next dozen largemouth. I’m really not good at jig fishing. My trailer was torn a little after fishing tonight, I got skunked in a half hour bank fishing. I don’t know if I’m feeling grass snags or fish.

Your Favorite Finesse Lure
Zoom Z3 swamp crawler finesse worm on a War Eagle 3/8oz jig head. Oxblood red works very well around here. Or a Trick Worm on the same jig head.

Wacky rig more then worms?
How do y’all orient the hook when you wacky rig anything other than a worm? Do y’all go across the body of the bait same as a Senko?

To trim or not to trim ... and trailers
I believe I’ll leave the weedguard alone. Ive been watching YouTube videos on this subject and there have been many of the pro anglers either trimming the skirt straight just below the hook bend or at an angle in a V shape so the skirt flares out better.

Looking for a Southern Lake
Weiss Lake in Centre, Alabama, would be a good lake to fish. It’s a great lake to fish crappie on and there are tons of large and smallmouth bass on it.

To trim or not to trim ... and trailers
I mainly fish Senkos and Trick Worms, but I’m wanting to get into jigs. With that, I’ve bought some 3/8th ounce jigs in green/brown, brown, and black/blue. Do y’all trim your skirts and weedguards? Do you take them out of the packaging, thread a trailer on, and have at it? What are your favorite trailers? I have some creatures, Yamamoto craws, Net Bait paca craws, and a few Zoom craws.

How come some people just don't get why fishing is fun?
I’m awful at fishing. Not very accurate when I cast, I’m not good at using a baitcasting rig, I could kill a dock trying to skip a jig/Senko, I don’t routinely catch LM bass, I only catch small LM bass, but I love to fish, watch fishing shows/YouTube fishing tips/read articles/etc. I think this would be the equivalent of a painter with Parkinson’s.

New Alabama angler
Thanks for the welcome. I just came back from fishing a bit ago, got skunked but I was only out for n hour and a half.

Coosa River Bass Club / Alabama
Is this club still active?

How often do you guys get skunked?
I’m not able to I wet a line as often as I want, but I’ve been skunked once this year. Nothing off of my go-to Senko color, nothing from a jig, nothing from a spinner bait or lipless crankbait. It happens, just gotta learn from it.

New Alabama angler
Hey guys, I’m an average to subpar fisherman living in central Alabama. I’ve been away from fishing for a little while, but I’ve been fishing off and on since I was about 4 or 5. Coaching 3 sports I don’t have a lot of time to fish, which is a shame since I live about 200 yards from the Lake Logan-Martin and 45 minutes from Lake Guntersville. I mostly fish for largemouth, but I’ll do a little saltwater fishing. I like throwing Trick Worms on a shaky head or weightless Senkos most of the time, I’ll also toss around a squarebill or lipless crankbait.
