  1. Logan Martin has been atrocious for me as well. I broke my drought this morning on a small spot. Dang joker fought like a 3 pounder.
  2. Lucky! Dang, I can’t talk my wife into going for her birthday.

I have rosacea so it is an absolute MUST I have the expensive sunscreen (titanium and zinc powder, not chemical sunblock) or a buff. I usually wear a hooded Huk shirt, hat, sunglasses, buff or sunscreen, and light Under Armour pants.
  4. Mini 4” Zoom lizards in junebug are good from spawn through the summer. Junebug anything does well. Chartreuse reaction baits work over natural, white, or sexy shad. When they drop the water level, the bite turns off. When they raise the water level, the bite turns off. A 3 pounder is considered a monster.
  5. It’s so hot, my Senko turned into a finesse worm.
  6. I’m in the same area as you, apparently. Theres a few spots around the area.
  7. I went bank fishing at Logan Martin last night with no luck.
  8. I’m going to try that San Diego Jam knot and check out that other video with 3 tag ends.
  9. What knot would you suggest?
  10. Good thing it was an Academy H2O Express sale crankbait, but I still hate losing it. It was about the 10th cast this morning, first time I’ve had my new crankbait rig. 6’10” Med/Mod St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass rod and a Lew’s LFS Speed Spool 5.6:1 reel spooled with 14lb Sunline Fluorocarbon using a Trilene knot. Lure was snapped off at the knot, I’m not sure if it let go or if the line broke. This is my first glass rod and I’m relatively new to baitcasting, getting into it more this year. I think I was side arm casting similar to my spinning gear. What did I do wrong?
  11. I picked up a few yesterday. Had to hide them from the wife, but I think I picked up a gold shiner and a chartreuse.
  12. I may go fish at Guntersville next week. This coming week it’ll be too crazy on the water.
  13. Bass Pro has Lew’s LFS reels on sale. I also found a St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass rod on sale. That means I have a great crankbait rig ready for a tournament Tuesday morning. ?
  14. Even right now at 9pm, it is 80 degrees out with 85% humidity. Heat index is at 87 degrees. That puts a damper on mowing the yard.
  15. Yes, I wasn’t an English major. I’m better at coaching than typing ideas.
  16. Just like the title asks, would you rather get a rod or a reel that is on sale for, let’s say, 25% off? I’m leaning towards a reel, I think there might be just enough of extra workmanship in a reel that I could add a little bit to my price range and do a hair better on.
  17. Also Abu Garcia, a new Ike crankbait rod and reel combo.
  18. I picked up half a dozen KVD crankbaits this last week. A 1.5 and 2.5, two 3, and two 5.
  19. Cinnamon with the purple flake have produced very well for me, also.
  20. Well, you could use the string method of removal or you can push that right on through, cut it off behind the barb, and back it out.
  21. BPS is having a big clearance sale this weekend starting Friday morning.
  22. Bass Pro is having a clearance sale starting Friday morning. The worker showed me some things and if you’re wanting something, probably look into getting it then...
  23. I’ve always had good luck with Spiderwire Stealth. I have some 15lb test on my finesse spinning rod I mainly use for shaky head or weightless Senkos. I want to say that the 15lb test is around 6lb mono diameter.
  24. Probably the deepest I’ll be going is 10-15 feet, if that. Mostly KVD 1.5, 2.5, and some lipless crankbaits staying shallow.
  25. Ok, so I’m looking to get a cranking stick today and I have a few options. All of the following are 7 foot Med/Mod rods. Lew’s David Fritts Perfect Crankbait Speed Stick Falcon BuCoo SR Bass Pro Johnny Morris CarbonLite 2.0 St. Croix Premier Series Crankbait Rod
