  1. How is the Zodias vs an Avid X? Bass Pro has a Medium Extra Fast Avid X and a Medium Fast Zodias.
  2. I may go with the Avid X if it’s really that much better than the Mojo. Are they better than the G Loomis rods?
  3. I have a gift card for $250 at Bass Pro and am wanting a good shaky head, weightless Senko, soft plastics, light jig spinning rod. I’m wanting to stick to a medium fast rod at about a 7 foot length. I have a few St. Croix Mojo Bass rods and am leaning towards getting a St. Croix Legend Tournament. But, I know that there are some Shimano rods and G Loomis IMX rods at the same price point.
  4. I know this doesn’t help much. I have two baitcasters that I’ve had about a year or so and have only used Sunline fluorocarbon in 12lb test. I’ve not tried mono or braid on them.
  5. Shoot me a message in the spring when the water level starts coming back up. I don’t know know the water good enough to not tear up the boat or get stuck on a sandbar.
  6. Mostly Logan-Martin. I’m wanting to get out on it more this year on the boat than last.
  7. Cool, I’m not far off. Where do you fish?
  8. @The_Last_Toddy where at in Alabama?
  9. I found a decent fishing game to tide me over until I can put the boat in.
  10. It is what it is, I have caught about a dozen with it and I think it’s fun to have a spot bend it in half.
  11. Another option may be the Mojo Bass glass rod. I have it and it’s fantastic.
  12. I’ve had Alabama spots make my drag scream and put a nice bend in the rod.
  13. Do y’all happen to use any fishing apps or fishing games on your iOS or Android phones?
  14. Catch more than 30 bass Catch a PB largemouth Catch a PB spotted bass Learn how to better jig fish Learn how to watch my line Catch a bass on a jig, frog, crankbait, spinner bait, chatterbait, trick worm, Senko, and lizard
  15. I didn’t have anybody to teach me how to bass fish and had to teach myself, and poorly at that. ? Anyways, I ended up getting a variety pack of soft plastics that included some little fry lures, lizards, different profile worms in ribbon tail and sticks. I caught my first war mouth on a green pumpkin and red flake fry night fishing at a location we weren’t supposed to be. Later on I finally caught my first bass on a T-rigged Berkeley worm in some sort of natural worm color that they handed out at a FLW weigh-in event at Guntersville.
  16. How far is the UT football facility from the venue?
  17. Yea, I almost forgot about the huge swing to MLF. Should be pretty high stakes.
  18. Bump. I’m still planning on going. I know it is a 3 day event aside from practice days. What is usually going on for the fans in attendance?
  19. I’m going to try to go tomorrow and beat the bank. Maybe try to walk out into a point, but the water level has risen by almost 2 feet in the last three days.
  20. My local Academy didn’t have anything on clearance today. ?
  21. Growing up, my falls and winters were taken over by football and wrestling seasons leading to track and field in the spring. I’ve never really fished when it was cold enough to see your breath, let alone collect ice on the guides. I need help filling up my tackle box, right now I don’t think I have the right cold water baits besides a bag of finesse worms. I have a War Eagle spinner bait or two, two titanium 2 knocker Strike King lipless crankbaits (wounded white/Black back and red/orange crawfish looking one), a 3-5 foot Yamamoto (chrome/blue back jerk bait), and 2 Z man chatterbaits. Should I try an Alabama rig, deep diving crankbaits, or jigs? Or maybe there’s something else I’ve not touched on?
  22. Catch Me If You Can Or... Superbad ?
  23. My boat isn’t dependable, but I’d be down for throwing some money into a hat to be a “co-angler” if there’s room for me.
  24. I’ll head up. It’d be neat to meet up and fish.
