2019 Elite series schedule announced

Recommended Posts

They're making it back out to the west coast and the California Delta which should make some of you west coast guys happy. Then up to Washington and the Columbia river. Maybe we'll see @Glenn photo and video bombing the event.

This is an awesome schedule. Largies, smallies, and spots. Some of my favorite stops: Cal Delta and St. Lawrence. Some interesting new ones too for the Elites: Lanier, Hartwell, and the Columbia, if I'm not mistaken.

Hartwell is and isn't new. They've never had an Elite event on it but have had 2 or 3 classics on it. So a lot of the guys have fished it but there's quite a few who haven't.

Lanier has hosted 2 FLW Cups, so a lot of Pro's have fished it before.

Not much in the Midwest next year.  Maybe the AOY will be somewhere up there.  I really liked the last stop they had recently on Lake Oahe, South Dakota.

I hope they have an open on Cayuga again soon, I have been saying to myself for a long time that the next time there's a B.A.S.S. open on Cayuga I am going to sign up as a co-angler just for the exp. of having done so. It's only about an hour and a half from my house, and fishes similar...although on a grander scale to the rest of the finger lakes I fish. I would have  interest in being an Elite Series Marshall if they ever come back to Cayuga as well, but that's not happening in 2019.

I was guessing that the 2020 Classic (the 50th) was going to be back at Lake Mead and that B.A.S.S. would tie in a few stops out west since they were going to be there.  With the Delta being a 2019 stop, I am now doubting that they will do that, they only come out here every 4 or 5 years.

I was initially considering signing up as a marshal for the Delta until I saw they were going out of Discovery Park in Sacramento.  That would mean a 90 minute plus trip boat trip down to the Delta, 4-5 hours of fishing & then 90 minutes plus back to Sacramento, each day.  No thanks.

Interesting to see nothing on any of the northern Midwestern bodies of water. Lakes like St. Clair, Mil Lacs, or any of the Great Lakes. But I like seeing them go to new bodies of water. The Washington event should be interesting.

Another thing to note. I understand why they do it because these guys put enough miles on the road as it is, but I hate whenever they stack events on back to back weekends. Looks like they're doing it twice next year.

Traveling from Oklahoma to the Columbia River west coast to St. Lawrence River east coast, 2 river events, doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

I've traveled through Iowa and Nebraska on my way to hunt in northwest Nebraska. Traveled into South Dakota while up there and it's so boring once you get west of the Mississippi river. I imagine it isn't much better the further west you go. I couldn't do it.

That being said I could move out to a small town in one of the plains states. Just not travel through them very much.

If you make the final  cut on the Delta , there is only 4 days until the next event . When is the practice period ?

Nothing near me this year. Glad the wife is taking me to the classic for my bday this year.

Thrilled to see them back in CA and surprised they didn't back-to-back the Delta with Clear Lake instead of that big drive up north. However, I really like the idea of them hitting the Columbia since it's a great fishery we typically don't hear much about.

The Delta in mid-June can be 100 degrees with a ridiculous amount of "pleasure boater" traffic and as OC mentioned most of them will be making a long trip from Sac to the south to get to the better water. That could be an awful tournament for a lot of the anglers. Too bad they're not coming out in March/April.

I still can’t believe the classic is here in Knoxville. I sore lipped every 7 inch smallie on the lake, so it will be tough for them! I’m also glad to see some western tournaments, fun to watch

Finally, finally, FINALLY they're coming to the PNW!  It's been a gaping hole for....well, forever, since they've NEVER been there (yes, the opens used to come there, but never the Elites).  I'll be there for sure. The Columbia can kick out some big limits (upper 20's) if they can get on them.

Ought to be interesting.  I expect a few dinged props before it's over. 😕

Can’t wait for the Columbia. Elites in my backyard!! Time to try and signup as a Marshall , can definitely imagine a few props being torn off at least in practice.
