Falcon Bucoo sr or Dobyns Fury

Featured Replies

I have gift cards for Cabelas and looking for a new baitcasting rod under $150. I fish a lot of lipless crank baits, Rapala floaters and jointed, wacky and poppers. Need help deciding which rod to get? I was also looking at the St. Croix premier line. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know one rod wont do it all but its what I have plus a spinning rod.

I'm not sure what the name is in the Falcon SR line but the Falcon Bucoo trapcaster is a very versatile rod and would work good for those techniques.  It's a 7' mh/ mod-fast rod.

dobyns has some great rods too but I've only fished one of their rods and can't recommend anything.

705cb fury or mentioned above the 7ft mh/modfast Bucoo sr

Mojo bass 7 mhmf will cover all your bases I have one and you can pretty much do everything with it except for your really heavy weight stuff.

The falcon bucco you mentioned probably also be a good option.
