What now?

So after you have fished all the shoreline cover you can see what do you do? Target deeper water? I’m a bank fisherman. So I can’t just move.

That's what I'd do.

If I'm not getting bites on shoreline presentations, especially in the heat of summer, I break out either a wacky rig senko or a Ned Rig - target deeper water and fish very slow.

The shoreline bites sometimes (especially in the high summer heat) will slow way down as the sun gets higher. I typically target them the most during dawn and dusk and move deeper as the sun travels overhead.

Yes. The fish are shallow, deep, or somewhere in-between.

Find specific sections/ spots/ regions of the reservoir that hopefully holds fish (see structure threads), and work those promising spots at various depths with different speeds.

From each "spot" on the bank I throw topwater, mid-depth, & bottom.

Multiple questions. By spot do you mean the cover or each 10 ft or so? And instead of the top mid and bottom, could I use a bait that covers the whole water column?

By "spot" I mean access point, place where ya stand on the bank, call it what ever ya want.

When bank fishing you have to make the most out of each access point.

You could cover the entire water column with single lure but would it not make more sense to give them a choice?

Just like fishing out of a boat ya gotta establish a pattern!

If the lake is man made it has a dam and that is where the deepest water is with good structure. If you can access the dam area that is a good place to start.

Any long underwater point offers good structure and a wide variety of depth zones, another good place to target.

Straight banks with limited access areas offer the fewest choices unless good cover and laydowns or isolated structure like rock piles, docks etc are available.

As Catt and Deep suggested fish the entire water column if possible.
