Monofilament line

Featured Replies

I tried some 6lb Advance over the weekend. Seemed fine. Didn't fish it long enough to really know whether it was an improvement over previous monos. Certainly was easy handling and seems pretty low stretch. I did notice a bit of a curly wurly bit of linea few feet from the bait, so I don't know whether the line dragged over something, but this seems to happen to mono lines sometimes. Over all, nothing bad to report so far and I'm intrigued to see how it goes. Just need more time on the water, but wasn't that always true!

Good to hear Tim! Interested to hear more as your gain more experience with it. If the feedback is positive, I may need to give it a shot.

I have never had an issue with any fluoro (Sunline Sniper from 8-20lb line). My knots hold well. I fish over 100 days a year and plenty of fish over 10 lbs to prove how strong fluoro is. Some people need to work on your knot and retie on occasion if you are having issues.

Definitely want to try Suffix Advance! Interested as well.E.
