Question about using a bow trolling motor

Featured Replies

I use a Tempress Pro Series casting seat for leaning, and sitting.   I've got 6 inch 9 inch extensions.  I use the 6 inch for sitting and the 9 for leaning.   I remove the seat when I'm underway to it doesn't block my vision.   I would be stiff, and sore after a couple days fishing until I figured out switching heights helped.   I used the long extension (that I use for leaning) when standing so I'll have something to lean against if a wake boat wave comes by.

I suspect I'd be sore if I were to forget to put the seat back on before sitting.   :o

Well, I had a recessed pedal tray installed and tried it out while sitting down. I can use it but it’s difficult with the seat being so close to the bow, even with the offset pedestal I had to use both feet to steer at times as it put a lot of stress on my knee if it didn’t. Tracker needs to rethink the design on the pro 170 and move the storage box behind the pedestal mount, to the starboard side and move the mount back where the storage box is.
Love the boat, this is the only complaint I have. I now have purchased a stand up set up, I’m with hope this works better, I don’t mind standing for a while.
