Revo ALX

Anyone have experience with this reel - good, bad or otherwise?  It looks light and I’ve had good luck with Revos before but it’s been a few years since I owned one.

I love mine, I was looking for a light reel but didnt wanna splurge on another MGX. Found a lightly used one for cheap, and its been flawless so far. I received the reel in March, and have put it to the test. Its had braid and fluoro on it and handled both well. when I put it down and pick up a rod with my MGXs, I really cant tell much of a difference. If I find another good deal, I wont hesitate to buy a couple more. I did put a Carbon handle on mine, I felt it needed it.

The reel was ok, but the reel is being discontinued by Abu Garcia by the Abu Garcia AL-F which is a nice improvement.

Ive got a couple of 8's and use them for plastics & jigs. The 1 complaint with them is they are kinda tough to,get dialed in. Abu came out with a new version at icast that has 2 brakes on the spool i believe. They are very comfortable to palm on an ecsm seat, but they can feel a little too small (to me) on others.
