Curado K 200K versus 201K difference?

Featured Replies

Little confused here. On Shimanos website it seems the CU200K is the exact same as the CU201K. Specs are identical, capacity, weight, bearings, retrieve per crank, drag and gear ratio. What am I missing? Seems like there is a lot of redundancy between several models in the K line.

200 is right, 201 is left.

Left always +1 for shimano BC

Well, I feel like a tool now.

I own a new 201, less than a few days, I like the reel so much that I ordered a 200. I really like the left hand retrieve (I'm a natural righty) but can now try it on the right, somehow my mind is telling me that I'll keep  the 201 and getting another one.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Yup.  Left/right identification.  Easy to remeber too.  Leftys are odd.

Ouch... we lefties have it hard enough as it is without all that hate. Have you ever tried to find left handed coffee mugs? And when you do find them they are marked up 10 fold compared to right hand mugs?. Yes +1 means it’s left hand retrieve.

I found a couple of left-handed coffee mugs at Cracker Barrel a couple of months ago. I have shipped to the grand poo pa for his blessing so there value will soar. When they get back I'll put them on the Flea Market.
