CC Grapple shad

Featured Replies

Anybody have any luck with the grapple shad is it deep diving medium diving or shallow diving just picked one up at Walmart in one of those big two dollar tubs can’t find any information on it other then it’s “vintage” I got the number 14 one I want to use it for pond fishing.

I have a 2005 Cabela's catalog.  The Cotton Cordell Grappler Shad has two sizes listed.

2 7/16", 1/4 oz is listed as diving to 6 ft.

2 7/8", 7/16 oz is listed as diving to 8 ft.

The catalog states that it is "Gary Roach Approved", so it's probably designed for walleye (but that won't stop a bass from biting it).

Good Luck.  Let us know how it works.

I generally don't grab much of anything out of that box but that's where I got my Grapplers shads from.

Ive caught river smallies on them. They are not in regular use but they are great on a really tough day and to throw them as a change up.

I felt good about it working that's why I picked up a few. If you don't feel it or lack confidence in it don't buy it. Some days they need to see something slightly different.
