What is the difference between striker 7dv and 7sv

    DV stands for DownVu and can only see down. It's basically like 2d sonar but with a picture like image. 

     

    SV stands for SideVu which gives you an image off to both sides of your boat.

     

    I'd go with the Striker 7SV which will also give you DownVu. You'll be glad you went that route.

    How can I tell what model of sensor is on the outside of the boat

    When you power up you can go to a sonar screen and it will tell you in the bottom left hand corner.
