i was having a garage sale and came across one of my fathers rod its about 5 foot long look like a bait caster all steel but hollow and the line goes through the rod no eyelets dont see any markings i do know its over 50 years old, can you guys help

Do a google search for vintage steel fishing rod and look thru the images. Didn't even know they had such a thing.

 

With a era matching reel it would make a good wall hanger for someones man cave

I may be wrong , but it seems Daiwa marketed line through rods 15-20 years ago.  I do remember the rods, but never owned one.

They still do, but they are for trolling and off-shore stuff.  The fresh water offerings never took off.

Ahh...the old Daiwa Interline series...
