Helix 5 DI Has A Double Echo

Featured Replies

I mounted a Helix 5 DI on my trolling motor a few days ago. The problem has been it very often displays a double echo, so the displayed depth is not the actual depth, but is showing what the false bottom is as depth. My other Helix 5 SI does not have this issue. Sometimes, it doesn't do this. But most of the time does.  I'm fishing a deep, steep dropping canyon lake, does this have anything to do with it? If it did, why is my other unit (transducer on transom) not doing this? How do I adjust this or deal with it?

I have the same unit. Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity?

Turn the sensitivity down.

Sensitivity is only 10 or 12. Tried it, didn't work.
