    Is that a new program? Illinois has offered free hunting and fishing licenses for as long as I can remember

    The program is for resident military veterans, Gold Star lapel recipients, and Next of Kin Deceased Personnel recipients. I don't know if it's new or not, but I had never heard of it. They've had reduced cost licenses for disabled vets for a long time. I got my lifetime hunting/fishing combo license for $25.00.
