Wiring help needed

Featured Replies

I am wiring my boat for bigfoot switches to be purchased at a later date.

My question is this;  where do I find 6 & 8 ga. wire connectors?  Also, does anyone have an inexpensive way to add a way to disconnect the motors from the wiring should the trolling motors need to be taken off the boat.  I am kind of on a tight budget here so any help would be grateful.

Thank you

Thanks for the info,, somehow i missed those when i was looking around.

I used about a 2" piece of 3/8" copper tube (from my AC guy) crimped for the splices on my TM. Much easier than the butt end connecters.

I DO THE SAME THING AND WORKS GREAT. JUST CRIMP THE COPPER TUBE AROUND YOUR WIRE AND THEN WRAP IT UP WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE. COPPER WORKS GREAT AS A CONDUCTER.

For my boat I got a friend who's an electrician to order some 2/0 battery connectors that were being used for automotive stuff. Then he gave me a crimper to crimp them to the line which was a pretty awesome tool.
