Has anyone heard anything good from these ? I checked my marina and they had this which is around my price point. What’s everyone think? Or just spend the extra 3000$ and get the adventure series. Which is about 24,000$ after taxes and everything

I bought mine brand new in 2014 would not trade it for another model, this one has a 60 Merc on it.

Depends on your needs but if I was to go Lund, the Fury 1625 XL is what I keep coming back to after researching all their models. Very comfortable and fishable; small enough to be easily trailered / launched / loaded, yet big enough to feel roomy and comfortable with 2 (maybe even 3?) fishers. Quality is superb; plenty storage; plenty deck space. 

 

I'm "between boats" right now and torn between salt and fresh, but after seeing @jbmaine's 1625 in person on a few occasions and riding shotgun in it for a day of fishing on a decent sized lake, if I go fresh, the 1625 is among the very top contenders if not the top. Maybe the 14 footer but that gives up some comfort and convenience.

Crawl around both boats and see which suits you best. The worst thing you can do is have regrets after you've made the commitment. 

The Adventure is not only longer but wider. It will offer more stability and a better ride as well as more interior room. But maybe you don't need that. 

I'm betting the nationally advertised price is non negotiable. The price on the Adventure will be negotiable. You will need to get quotes from multiple dealers and use your best negotiating skills. I paid almost 20% below Lunds boat builder MSRP with 3 dealers pitted against each other. One dealer was even in a different state. The boat show discounts expire on March 31st so have all your ducks in a row before then.

but I got one dealer to take about 1,000$ off.  I really like the layout of the adventure and the bigger size as I will be fishing on Erie. I always get scared / nervous making big investments always worry about what if. Even when I check my income like 10 times to make sure I can afford it I still wonder ha. Like hmmm is an extra 300$ a week enough ? Lol @haggard @jbmaine

Good luck on your purchase. The track system makes mounting accessories very easy. You may want to see if you can get your dealer to throw in a few as part of the package. One thing to remember, whatever you end up getting, A 16 ft boat on big water can get iffy real fast. keep an eye on the wind, weather forecast.

Also the TM, sonars add $$$ to the cost.

I bought a Fury XL this past spring.  It's lighter & narrow boat than the Adventure series.  All depends on the waters your going to fish, if your fishing bigger waters I'd go with the bigger boat.  Just another consideration, with the bigger boat your going to need a bigger motor due to the fact the Advnture series is wider and much heavier.

Your are going to be very selective with what days you fish with a 16" on Erie. Have you considered a good used boat with more length?
