Does anyone own a lew's hypersonic speed spin combo. I'm interested in getting one but hesitant at the same time. Can't find any information or reviews on it and thought I should ask here before pulling the trigger. The questions I have about it are 1. What's the max drag on it 2. Would it be reliable at the price it has ($40) 3. Would I be able to get replacement parts 4. How durable would the medium rod be 5. What's the max load the rod can handle before snapping

I wouldn't buy something so cheap. Much better of getting something like a Berkley Lightning rod, Abu Garcia Vengeance rod, or a Fenwick Eagle rod, and pairing it with something like a Pflueger Trion or President reel. All depends on your budget. Cheapest route of the ones I mentioned would be the Lightning rod with a Trion reel. Cost you like 70 bucks.

I second the Trion. Got one myself last spring and it was a work-horse for me. Though I put mine on an Ugly Stick.
