I always wondered about rods stowed in a tube on a trailer. Trailers tend to bounce around a lot and if rods are inside the tube without anything to cushion them, I'd be concerned about damaging the rods. A lot of people use them so I guess it's not an issue....

That's why im not really using mine, I'm often fishing remote places on dirt/gravel road

I also use rod socks reel covers. I usually bring 3-4 rods in the yak. I will remove the rod socks at the ramp but leave the reel covers on till I use that setup. A couple of rod wraps keeps everything together on the way to the lake.

I'm surprised that no people seems to use the ceiling rack in their SUV/wagon... This is really working well
