Champion Extreme DX704 or 705

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a jig rod. 3/8 98% of the time 1/2 the rest. I use a St.Croix Mojo 7'1" MH now and I do like it but with getting more and more into the competitive side of things I'd like to upgrade it.

I am in the process of phasing out my St.croixs and Dobyns Furys. I own the regular Champion XP in the 704 and 705 and wonder if they will handle the same as the Champion Extreme.

If that's the case I dont know what I will do as I like the action I get from the Mojo I use now and the regular Champion 704 tip is to soft for my liking for jigs and the 705 is real stiff like my frog rod. The mojo is in between and that's what I'm looking for.

Then theres always the option of sticking with st.croix and bumping up to the Legend Tournament line and getting the same 7'1" MH
