I’m thinking New Helix7 DI and SI on console and Helix5 with DI on trolling motor......what do you all think about this combo??

That’s exactly what I have on my boat. I purchased the boat that way, today was really the first time on the water with it. I also have a Garmin 73DV I bought before I bought the boat. I haven’t installed yet. That’s going up front. The Helix 5DI I haven’t decided what I’m doing with it.

7 is fine for console.

I had a helix 5 di on the bow. It was ok in 2d mode. Screen was too small in DI mode for me. I am standing most of the time. If you are sitting closer to the screen it might be ok.

i replaced it with a helix 7 di. Much easier to see.

Just put a helix 7 g2n chirp DI on my bow, and although I don't know how to use it to its full potential yet I couldn't be happier. Currently saving up for an SI unit for the console 

I'd recommend 2 of the 7's or put the 5 on console. Ur closer to it than standing up front. They're great units I ran them on my boat last year.
