Need ML baitcaster rod

I have never found that ultimate light baitcasting setup yet. Been looking for years and have not pulled the trigger yet.

But anyway in someone’s recent similar post, one of the guys responded to me that BPS Jonny Morris has a decent lighter casting setup. The guy seem to be happy with his.

I want something for 3/16 oz. - 1/4 oz. Crankbaits. More of a mod. fast tip. For smaller Rapalas.

Good luck you’ll, eventually find it.

St-croix offers a legend tournament bass Medium moderate fast but its pretty darn soft! Chech it out!

Phenix makes 7ft-ish ML and M powered rods that are definitely lighter powered than they are labeled.

Okuma SST comes in what you seek, but it's 8'6".  I own one and use it for throwing hardware steelhead fishing.  I got mine at FishUSA.  I know they make a 7'6" variant too.

Look at the jdm company Major Craft.  They have a ton of lines and most have a few ML casting rods. I know some of them are listed as “Fast” but it’s a very subjective label, so finding reviews will be important.

The BPS Carbonlite series has a ML Fast action rod. Believe it's in the $110-$120 range regular price but as with most BPS house brand stuff they tend to be in sale fairly often.  I've considered one but never pulled the trigger.

I bought the 47 rod by Doomsday tackle last year.  It's rated from 1/16 to 1/2 oz, it's a 7 ft fast rod.  There is a coupon code that will pop up on their site for 15% off, so the rod is ~$120.  I use it for small top water baits (tiny torpeedo) and small spinner baits.  I've been very impressed with the rod for that price.
