Another how's this deal look

Featured Replies

Ok gang. I'm looking for a small boat that I can haul around and use instead of using my fish and ski all the time. I came across this one on craigs list and looked like a pretty good deal, perhaps a little high on price, but I think if I could talk him down a little it would make a fine boat.

I normally fish smaller inland lakes, as well as Lake Erie( this is why I feel I need a deep v) Normally it's me and one other person fishing. I'm a large guy at 280lbs. I feel I would probably have to install a 45+ lb trolling motor to move it around. Any idea what kind of draft this thing would have?

Let me know what you all think

As long as the leaky rivots are going to be an issue looks good. I walk around in 16 footer with no issue and 200 lbs. Usually its me, the wife and dog with no problems

looks good to me.

here is a hint on saving some $$, this is what I did. get a quick release for your TM on you FS and you can just switch it from boat to boat.

I used to do this with my TM and DF from my big boat to my small boat. when I ended up upgrading the TM and DF on the big boat the small boat got its own stuff

Be very wary of Grumman leaky rivets. I think you can find something that doesn't leak for close to that price. I would keep looking. Yes leaky rivets can be fixed but they are also a pain in the ***, especially on grummans. Those things have thousands of rivets in them. Personally I would keep looking.
