I'm not trying to impress anyone with my pics, in fact I rarely share them at all. I try to get an accurate picture of the size because I don't have scales and the picture serves as part of my record keeping. Even when I finally break down and get some scales, the pictures will still be an important part of my records.

I don't share mine other than maybe my fishing buddies in person.  I don't do any social media, and rarely post pictures on here.  I put my photos in Google Drive, and fill in the name of the picture with date, time, lure, & fish size.  I have a folder for each body of water in the Google Drive.  That's my lazy way of having a journal.

I don't have social media either. My fish pictures are for me and my man cave. I don't catch a lot of fish that I would deem to be "picture worthy" so when I do get one I will take as much time as I need to get a picture that I will be happy with. I also carry 2 scales and extra batteries because I want to know the actual weight of my big bass, especially when I get one that will be worthy of a replica. I know lots of guys don't care so much about all this stuff but for me having an accurate record and a nice picture of my big fish is a way to preserve these memories.
