I’ve been thinking of buying a St.croix Legend Tournament for walleye and I normally use Shimano reels but the Daiwa Tatula LT catches my eye, I don’t know what is a better reel to put on the St.croix when I go to buy it. Either the Shimano Stradic Ci4+ or the Daiwa Tatula. 

I use both reels on my LTW's and really don't have a preference. They're both nice. I guess I'd answer it like this... If, for whatever reason, I had to replace my Ci4+, I'd get another Daiwa Tatula LT and save a few bucks.

I have one of each, both 2500's. I like them equally for bass and think they work just fine. Except sometimes, especially on very windy days, I like having the anti-reverse switch on the Daiwa so I can let out a little line as the boat drifts. I like having the switch and that's all there is to it. Opening the bail is a pain so just call me old and grouchy and set in my ways. 

 

Fwiw, I've been fishing them with 10# braid on a MH Conquest.

I have both in 2500. My stradic ci4+ is from 2015 so I am not sure how much they have improved since then. They are both nice reels and are really light and smooth. I need more time on the water with the Tatula lt, but I really like the bail mechanism and how it closes - it just feels solid to me. You can’t go wrong either way, but may want to save some money with the Tatula. I think the Tatula looks cooler too if that matters to you. 

I just landed a Ballistic LT (2500) from a reputable seller for less than I could find a Tatula LT. It's a birthday present for my girlfriend and hasn't came in yet so I can't give a review, but I've held the Tatula LTs and they feel like a decent reel and are super light just like the Stradic. I honestly can't recall if I had the same issue with the Tatula LT as the Stradic Ci4+, which is the bail can hit my thumb.

   The Tatula LT is Alan Hawk's new darling. He puts it above the Stradic FK, but has never mentioned the CI4+ reels at all.  This is a salt fishing site, but scroll down for his opinion of freshwater reels.      http://www.alanhawk.com/reviews/lists.html
